The Modern Jazz Quartet was established in 1952 and for most of their career composed of John Lewis (piano), Milt Jackson (vibraphone), Percy Heath (double bass) and Connie Kay (drums). Active until the 1970s and again in the 1990s. Albums include: Django (1956), Fontessa (1956) and The Complete Last Concert (1974).
