Inspired by the makers in our Made in Bath book, we are teaming up with the Holburne Museum in March 2020 to host an evening that celebrates the dynamic spirit of makers in Bath.
We have asked 8 local makers - some from our book and some new faces - to do a short talk using the PechaKucha (Japanese for chit-chat) style storytelling format.
We will hear stories from some of the most brilliant modern-day creatives, craftspeople, engineers and innovators based in Bath – from one-person studios to large corporates – that all share our philosophy of doing things well, being passionate, creative and collaborative, with attention to detail and quality.
Our speakers include:
Stephen Melville from Format Engineers
Michelle Comins from Comins Tea
Ed Robin from Mytton Williams
Claire Smith from BuroHappold
Matt Wright from Matter
Joanna Crosse from Meaningful Films
Adam Rodgers from International Magic
Dan Farrell from Moulton Bicycles
The event is free and will be fun and informal, giving an opportunity to network with around 100 people from a variety of local businesses.
