Modified wood is becoming increasingly popular because of its stability and environmental credentials. It has a beautiful finish at an equivalent cost to established timber supplies and replaces the need to import timber from places such as China and Canada. In the UK, no company had yet taken hold of this potential and Vastern Timber saw the opportunity to develop a separate new product range available from themselves, and through other merchants. Architects and designers were the priority target for this construction product, followed by self-builders and construction companies. We set to work, ensuring architects would get a confident name and memorable identity with messages and clear design guidelines to support the in-house team on presentation styles, website and promotional banners. This toolkit approach ensured they could talk to all their audiences.
